Yes. Pick it up and you’ll hear a dial tone. If someone in your Circle of Trust calls, it will ring (loudly). It’s 100% digital audio, but it feels like 1994.
Does my child need an app?
No. Your child uses the phone. Parents use the app or family portal to manage contacts and settings.

Choose Modern for Wi-Fi. Choose the Bridge if you already own a compatible analog phone. The Nostalgic Kit is not sold in Canada.
Can they call my cell phone?
Yes, with the paid plan and your number added as an approved contact. Starter covers connected Ring Ring members only.
Do I get a Canadian phone number?
Yes. Paid-plan lines for Canadian households get a real 10-digit Canadian number matched to your area, so friends and grandparents dial a local number, not a US one.
